Kasey’s deep-rooted connection to agriculture has been a driving force in her academic journey. From a young age, she developed a profound appreciation for the hard work and dedication it takes to sustain the farming way of life. Her decision to major in Agriculture Education at Texas Tech was a natural choice, allowing her to blend her love for animals with her desire to educate and inspire the next generation of agriculturists.

As a camp counselor, I assumed the responsibility of leading trail rides, ensuring the safety of campers during outdoor excursions, and also provided instruction in Western riding skills. My role involved creating a fun and educational experience for campers while fostering their confidence and proficiency in Western equestrian activities.

Back A Bit Horse Boarding • Keller, Texas
The daily tasks for animal care involve cleaning the turnout areas and stalls, checking the water buckets, feeding the animals according to their individualized requirements, and meal prepping the feed buckets for the next shift. The petting zoo needs to be put away and sorted by gender. Any unusual behavior needs to be reported to the manager. Finally, all gates need to be latched, and lights turned off at the end of the shift.
